MISSION STATEMENT
To train teachers to serve children in four ways with four skill sets which
promote:
- Poverty Alleviation
- Environmental Relief
- Holistic Health
- Character Development
by building Sustainable Environment Education Demonstrations to produce simple
- Organic Food
- Clean Water
- Renewable Energy
- Affordable Green Housing.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Three one-week programs will construct the following systems:
Level 1:
- Bio-intensive Garden & Pest Control
- Compost System & Worm Farm
- Animal Husbandry & Barn
- Solar Cooker & Water Purification
- Natural Water Purification Pond
Level 2:
- Household-scale Greenhouse
- Household-scale Fish Farm
- Adobe Oven & Wind Energy
- Methane Energy Production
- Ten Bar Bee Hive
Level 3:
- Affordable Alternative Green Housing
- Solar/Adobe/Straw, Rammed-Earth, etc.
- Food Preservation, Storage and Preparation
- Water Catchment & Harvesting Techniques
- Household-Scale Fruit and Nut Orchard

SUSTAINABLE SYSTEM LESSON PLANS
Students will also participate in learning science theory for the writing of
album pages to document construction, materials, costs, use and maintenance of
each above system.

COURSE STRUCTURE
Each system will be constructed and written up together during each session.
Lesson Plans and Teaching Videos of construction and use of Sustainable Systems
with children will be shown, and available for purchase. Character values of
self-esteem, respect, responsibility, cooperation, joy and a sense of
wonder will be emphasized.
Global Seed (TM) certification will be issued upon successful completion of
each training level. Photographing each phase of system construction work is
mandatory for illustrating album pages for future teaching.

ARIZONA STATE STANDARDS
The curriculum is aligned to the Arizona Science Standards - Strand 4: Life
Sciences.
OPTIONAL ECOLOGY FIELD TRIPS
Weekend tours to summarize course content to beautiful sites such as:
Biosphere II, Desert Botanical Garden Home, Farm at South Mountain,
Taliesin West, U of A Environmental Research Laboratory,
Sedona Eco-tourism Center are optional.
ATTENDANCE
Hours of Instruction are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
100% attendance is vital, since understanding of all systems must be mastered
during construction and write-up periods. Future teacher support and
consultation will be available for all participants upon request.
Out-of-town attendees will be provided a list of local motels. Additional
tours, transportation and all meals are not included in course tuition.
HOW TO ENROLL
Locations: Scottsdale AZ, other locations on demand.
Cost: $500 per session, $100 deposit.
